What a truly amazing time I had in Tokyo with the Selenium crew and invited speakers. Everyone was welcoming and hospitable beyond what I expected making it difficult to leave. The unfortunate thing was I came down with a heck of a head cold and I was able to get through the first day but the second I spent most of it in bed.
I flew into Narita where you find yourself flying over rice fields with its watery skin shinning in the morning sun. Walking into the airport was one of the best experiences apart from coming home to New Zealand’s and everyone is pleasant.
The selenium japan’s committee had pre-arranged our accommodation at Hotel East 21 Tokyo it was an incredible experience. First nights dinner where I was able to catch up with my mentor Andrew Krug aka @lazycoderio and his wonderful wife Wendy a Teppanyaki Restaurant called Kiba which overlooked Tokyo Sky Tree – video attached.
